BBC Radio 4 to return for Gardeners’ Question Time

BBC Radio 4 Gardeners’ Question Time (GQT) Summer Garden Party will return to Ness Gardens, following the outstanding success of last year’s event.

On Saturday 7 September, from 10am until 6pm, the GQT team, which will include Bob Flowerdew, Pippa Greenwood and Carol Baxter, will give gardening demonstrations and offer personal advice on plants and gardening dilemmas as well as recording the show which will be broadcast later in the month.

The day will also include tours of the gardens and a chance to ask advice from the Ness team as well as a specialist plant hunters’ fair.

Kevin Reid, Director of Ness Gardens, said: “It’s great news and we welcome them wholeheartedly. Last year’s GQT event at Ness was a real coup for the North West and we were delighted, as were the BBC, at the response of garden enthusiasts and the public who attended. We hope that everyone will return to enjoy a fabulous day out and we will try to make the 2013 event bigger and even better than before!”

Tickets are £8.50 each (no concessions) and will be available from the Ness Gardens website or BBC website soon.
