The School of Music is hosting an event to celebrating the publishing of eight books written by members of staff within two years.
Authors Professor Anahid Kassabian, James & Constance Alsop Chair of Music, Dr Mike Jones, Dr Freya Jarman, Dr Kenneth Smith, Dr Holly Rogers and Dr Haekyung Um will be on hand to talk about their publications.

Skryabin, Philosophy, and the Music of Desire by Dr Kenneth Smith
Sounding the Gallery: Video and the Rise of Art-Music by Dr Holly Rogers
Ubiquitous Listening: Affect, Attention, and Distributed Subjectivity by Professor Anahid Kassabian and Ubiquitous Musics: The Everyday Sounds That We don’t Always Notice by Professor Anahid Kassabian, Martha García Quiñones and Elena Boschi
Korean Music Drama: P’ansori and The Making of Tradition in Modernity by Dr Haekyung Um and Rediscovering Traditional Korean Performing Arts by Dr Haekyung Um and Hyunjoo Lee.
Dr Jones said: “The event is to celebrate the unusual fact of eight books produced by academics in the School of Music, which is a relatively small department.”
