A new survey has revealed that the University of Liverpool is one of the top institutions in the world for producing graduates who go on to be millionaires.
The list has been produced by data research company WealthInsight and business magazine Spear’s who went through a global database of 70,000 people with wealth measured at one million US dollars or more.
They placed Liverpool at 238 out of the world’s top 500 universities in the list, and in the top half of the 42 UK universities which also featured. Engineering was the number one degree programme for producing prospective millionaires – many of whom go on to become entrepreneurs or highly placed executives in multi-national companies.
Liverpool alumni regularly appear in the Sunday Times Rich List and many are in senior positions in major multi-national companies. These alumni are part of a global network of over 170,000 Liverpool graduates in more than 180 countries.
