A poetry writing workshop on the theme of “Women and Ageing” is taking place as part of a series of events being held around the University to mark International Women’s Day.
The session, organised by the Professor Deryn Rees-Jones (poet and critic in the Department of English) and Dr Lesley Iwanejko (lecturer in genetics and molecular biology in the Institute of Ageing and Chronic Disease), will include a brief introduction to the science of ageing, review poetry about ageing and give participants the chance to write and share poems on the theme of women and ageing
The workshop is scheduled on lunchtime on Wednesday 12 March from 12.15-1.45 in Seminar Room 1 in the Sherrington Building.
