More than 70 scientists, engineers and researchers from organisations across the UK attended a conference at the University.
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Colloquium on Millimetre-wave and Terahertz Engineering and Technology was the first national conference in this growing important area, with applications in future wireless communications, imaging, security, medical and food industry.
The event, chaired by Professor Yi Huang from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, featured speakers including Professor Peter Weightman from the Department of Physics.
Due to its success, the IET has requested that this become an annual event.
