Renowned human rights campaigner, Peter Tatchell, is visiting the University of Liverpool in May to deliver a lecture ‘The unfinished battle for LGBT equality’.
He will discuss the flaws of the same-sex marriage law and other inequalities that remain to be overturned.
Peter has been campaigning since 1967 on issues of human rights, democracy, civil liberties, LGBT equality and global justice. In 2009, he co-proposed a UN Global Human Rights Index to measure and rank the human rights record of every country with a view to creating a global human rights league table.
The lecture has been organised by the University’s LGBT Network as part of the Flagship programme of events. It is free of charge and will take place 1-2.30pm in Eleanor Rathbone Lecture Theatre on 14 May 2014.
