The University of Liverpool has moved up 22 places, from 81st to 59th, in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2014.

More than 14,000 full-time undergraduates took part in the survey, which is broken down into 21 attributes, chosen by students as key indicators.

Participants are asked to rate the performance of their university in each category using a seven-point scale.

Significant improvement

Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Student Experience, Professor Kelvin Everest said: “This is a significant improvement from last year and demonstrates that our students are experiencing the benefits of our investment in new facilities and accommodation.

“We will continue to enhance our learning and teaching activities to build further on this positive result.”

The University of Sheffield tops the survey this year, followed by the University of Bath and the University of East Anglia.
