A number of University graduates have been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
Chief Constable of Merseyside Police and Liverpool Law graduate, Jon Murphy, received a Knighthood for services to policing, alongside Professor David Greenaway, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham and Masters of Commerce graduate, who was honoured for his services to higher education.
Attorney and law graduate, Karin Thompson, was recognised with an MBE for services to the protection of children and to the community in the Cayman Islands.
Psychology graduate, Miro Griffiths, Founder of Miro Consultancy and Deputy Chair of Equality 2025, was honoured with a MBE for services to people with disabilities. Bernaalumnird Adkins Walker, Transitional Chair of the Adults Faculty at the College of Social Work and Independent Consultant in Social Care and Health Management, was also recognised with an MBE.
David Hodgkiss, Chief Executive of the William Hare Group and Economics graduate was honoured with an OBE for services to Manufacturing and Exporting.
