The University of Liverpool is delighted to announce the appointment of a new head of Educational Opportunities.
Laura Cattell will be joining EO in September after successfully leading the Outreach team at Goldsmiths, University of London.
Widening Participation
Educational Opportunities is responsible for a range of Widening Participation initiatives and work with thousands of young people in schools and sixth-forms across Merseyside. In recent years the team has achieved national prominence and is widely regarded as a leader in the sector. This success is reflected across the University: Liverpool remains one of the leading universities in the country for the recruitment of students from state schools and other under-represented groups.
Commenting on Laura’s appointment, Paul Redmond, Director of Employability and Educational Opportunities said: “We are delighted that Laura will be joining us in September. Educational Opportunities is leading the way in terms of widening participation and there are lots of opportunities across the University for building on our success.”
