Merseyside Police impressed by Campus Security

The University has received a positive report from the Merseyside Counter Terrorism (MCT) team, as part of their ongoing monitoring of the institution’s security measures.

At a recent review meeting, security arrangements, including entrance design, door specification, card access and night security patrols were discussed.

Commended

Mr Andy Buchan, the Detective Superintendent who is attached to the Home Office commended with the security and health and safety measures on campus, particularly around key research facilities.

Andrew Molloy, University Security Manager, said: “We are pleased that the arrangements have been commended, which is in part due to the excellent working relationship that has been built between the University and contacts from MCT.”
