Almost 200 nominations have been received for this year’s Celebrating Success Staff Awards – the highest number since the awards began.
The judging panel, which includes Deputy Vice-Chancellor Patrick Hackett, Provost Professor Ian Greer, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Kelvin Everest, Director of Human Resources, Carol Costello, Faculty Director of Operations, Karen Banks, Academic Secretary, Catherine Jones and Member of Council, Abi Pointing, will review the entries in September before finalists are invited to attend the Celebrating Success Awards Ceremony.
The annual ceremony, which takes place on 4 December, will see winners presented with a certificate and a specially commissioned trophy to recognise their achievements.
Now in its third year the event gives the University an opportunity to showcase the talent and commitment of staff. Staff who have worked at the University for 25 and 40 years will also be honoured at the event.
The award categories include:
– Outstanding Early Career Researcher
– Outstanding Contribution to Research Impact Award (NEW)
– Outstanding Contribution to Research Environment Award (NEW)
– Good Practice in Equality (NEW)
