The University of Liverpool and National Nuclear Laboratories (NNL) have committed to a strategic partnership aimed at developing international research on nuclear power generation.
The partnership will focus on work across engineering; environmental sciences; electrical engineering; electronics; computer sciences; and physical sciences.
Professor Paul Howarth, NNL Managing Director, said: “There are significant benefits to both parties when an industry-university relationship moves from being transactional to truly strategic. I am pleased to have progressed NNL’s relationship with Liverpool to a higher level and to be able to engage with such a wide range of subject areas.”
Plans for the future of the partnership include education activities and a series of joint appointments.
