The University has welcomed thousands of visitors to its autumn season of Open Days.
More than 15,000 people attended the opening weekend, with student registrations up by 30% for the second event this month. There was a packed schedule of tours, talks and activities on offer, including welcome presentations, visits to accommodation and demonstrations from academic departments.
The events give prospective students and their parents the opportunity to find out more about the University, its courses, and the city.
Feedback from students, their parents and guests was positive, with many comments about the excellent facilities, and the friendly welcome they received from staff.
Research suggests that more students than ever are using Open Days to help them make informed decisions about their future careers. The number of students registering for Liverpool events has grown each year, providing opportunities to showcase academic programmes, new accommodation, and teaching facilities to thousands of prospective applicants.
Students today have access to a variety of information, such as Key Information Sets (KIS), to help them decide which institution and course they prefer. Visiting the campus and talking to academics, however, gives students a more immediate and real understanding of what life will be like for them at university.
The next Open Day will take place on Friday, 19 June 2015. For more information about the forthcoming events please visit: http://www.liv.ac.uk/study/openday/info/
