Dr Andrew Reeves announced as Chair of BACP

Dr Andrew Reeves from the University of Liverpool Counselling Services has been announced as the new Chair of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

BACP is the second largest psychological therapies organisation in the world with a membership of over 42,000 therapists.

Dr Reeves said: “I am honoured to have been asked to Chair the BACP and look forward to leading the association for the next few years.”

Dr Andrew Reeves is a counsellor, supervisor, trainer and researcher.  He is author of several key textbooks on counselling and psychotherapy, including An Introduction to Counselling and Psychotherapy (2013) and Working with Risk in Counselling and Psychotherapy (2015) and is an active researcher into therapeutic approaches when working with suicidal people.  He is a former Editor of Counselling and Psychotherapy Research journal.
