The University of Liverpool’s campus at 33 Finsbury Square has been praised by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in its review of all London campuses of non-London universities.
The report described the University of Liverpool in London (ULiL) as ambitious and comprehensively planned and project managed.
ULiL has now become a member of the London Higher consortium, an umbrella body representing more than 40 publicly funded universities and higher education colleges in London, as well as several universities with centres in London and a small number of private providers.
This will give Liverpool the opportunity to share best practice with other institutions with London campuses, provide a shared voice with the Home Office, and share competitor analysis.
In addition, Professor Fiona Beveridge, EPVC for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, has been appointed academic lead for ULiL and she is heading a review of the academic vision.
Centre of excellence
The campus has now been fully operational with dedicated academic and Professional Services staff for six months.
The vision for ULiL is as a centre for excellence in high-end postgraduate (Masters level), Executive Education and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) provision linked to the professions, while providing a strategic base for our institution in the City.
With seven academic programmes up and running, the current focus of the London Steering Group is on reviewing and refreshing academic, partnerships and commercial strategies.
