Vice-Chancellor re-elected to UUK Board

The University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Janet Beer, has been re-elected as Vice President of Universities UK for England and Northern Ireland. 

Universities UK is the representative organisation for the UK’s universities and promotes the strength and success of UK universities nationally and internationally. The Vice-Chancellor will serve a two-year term as Vice-President from 1 August 2015. 

The Vice-Chancellor also chairs the Higher Education Public Information Steering Group (responsible for the National Student Survey (NSS) and Key Information Set (KIS)), is a board member of UCAS, and a member of the Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI) Advisory Board. The Vice-Chancellor is on the Board of the British Council and is Chair of the Equality Challenge Unit.
