From the tiniest of cells, to the complex puzzle of our skeleton and muscles, scientists from the University of Liverpool will give visitors an insight into how the human body works at World Museum, Liverpool this weekend.
‘Body Works’ is the latest in the ‘Meet the Scientists’ event series, which aims to engage the public with health and life sciences research in an informal and interactive way.
A host of family-friendly activities will be on offer throughout the day. See human cells under a microscope, learn how the body clock keeps people healthy, analyse how the body moves, fool the eyes with visual illusions to understand how sight works, and much more.

Dr Mieke De Lathouwers, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences Public Engagement Officer, said: “These events provide us with a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of our work in a fun and interesting way to the public.”
