Vice-Chancellor joins FACT board to develop arts, digital, and creative industries

FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) is one of the UK's leading media arts centre, based in Liverpool.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Janet Beer has been appointed a member of the new-look board at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology).

Professor Beer is one of ten new board members who aim to bring  their variety of experiences across commercial, cultural and academic sectors to further enhance FACT’s global position in the cultural industries.

New appointments also include Pat Connor, Head of Development and Events at BBC North,  and Neil McConnon, Head of International Enterprises at Barbican Centre in London.

The Vice-Chancellor said: “I am delighted to join a board with such a wealth of experience and knowledge within the arts and creative industry.

The primary function of the board is to provide strategic direction and governance to FACT. I’m looking forward to working with board members across academic, commercial and cultural sectors to develop the arts, digital, and creative industries in the Liverpool city region and beyond.”
