The University of Liverpool has launched a new association aimed at supporting alumni working in the legal profession.
The Liverpool Law School Alumni Association (LLSAA), which will be run by graduate volunteers, will offer a comprehensive range of careers support, networking opportunities, and social events for all Law graduates.
The launch event offered an insight into research and student initiatives undertaken in the School, and graduates were introduced to the aims of the new association by alumnus and former Senior Partner at Weightmans LLP, Ian Evans (LLB Hons Law 1972).
Next generation
Ian, who is also Chair of the new Association, said: “I am thankful to the School Law for their part in my career and I know many in the room will also think the same.
“As graduates we are now in a position to give back and help the next generation of Law graduates to succeed in such a competitive employment market by being involved in the School’s active recruitment and employability initiatives.”
A social event will be held in Liverpool in the New Year and a launch event for alumni living and working in the London area is planned to take place in early 2016.
