A Fender electric guitar signed by members of Irish band, Snow Patrol will be among the items up for auction at the University of Liverpool Institute of Irish Studies St Patrick’s Day Ball on 5 March.
Snow Patrol member and Grammy-nominated song-writer, Johnny McDaid will be flying in especially from his home in Los Angeles for the popular event. Johnny’s sister, Maev McDaid, is a former Guild President and an Institute of Irish Studies alumna. Maev will be playing the harp on the night as part of a packed entertainment schedule.
The event, held at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool, will be compered by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Roger Phillips. Guests will enjoy a five course meal followed by performances from one of Ireland’s leading show bands; as well as traditional Irish dancing, raffle and auction prizes.
Tickets are available at £50 per person, or £500 for a table of ten.
