The transformation of the Greenbank campus in South Liverpool is well underway.
The self-contained student village will provide 1,361 student bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities. The first phase will open its doors to students in September 2017.
The 490,000 sq ft redevelopment includes the construction of two new four storey blocks alongside the refurbishment of Derby House. A 15,000 sq ft sports facility and sports pitches will also be available on the site.
The historic 18th Century Greenbank House, which was left to the University by the Rathbone family, will benefit from a £5 million refurbishment to convert it into support accommodation facilities.
The redevelopment of Greenbank campus forms part of an overall £250 million investment in student accommodation that included the construction of Vine Court and Crown Place residences at the University’s city campus.
