University ranked 39 in 2017 Times University Guide

Liverpool is ranked 39th in the new Times and Sunday Times University Guide 2017, a drop of one place from last year.

Lancaster University tops the North West table for the sixth year running, with Liverpool in third position behind the University of Manchester.

The Guide includes profiles of all universities and the leading colleges of higher education.

The league table is drawn up from criteria including student satisfaction, research quality, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, graduate employment and further study levels, services and facilities spend and university degree completion rates.

The University will be conducting further analysis and reaction of the Sunday Times data this week.
