A lecturer from the University’s Institute of Psychology, Health and Society has been featured on Forbes prestigious ’30 under 30 Europe list’ for her research.
Dr Praveetha Patalay’s research focuses on improving one of society’s biggest health issues: depression. She studies the population-level causes and effects of depression in children and adolescents, hoping to improve understanding and treatment of the disease.
Forbes ’30 Under 30′ is a set of lists issued annually by Forbes magazine and includes almost 300 names young innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders in Europe who are seen as transforming their industry.
They are divided into 10 different categories including business, technology, finance, media, healthcare, science, policy, social entrepreneurship, retail and the arts and entertainment.
Dr Patalay featured in the Science and Healthcare category.
