The University of Liverpool online offer has reached this week a new milestone with the achievement of the accreditation of the Master of Science in Psychology as a Conversion programme by the British Psychological Society.
This is the first time that an online Psychology programme at the University has been accredited, thus joining a restricted list of only five online conversion programmes accredited in the UK.
As the Director of Studies, Dr Ricardo Tejeiro, highlights, “only two of them are fully online, and we are the only University from the Russell Group.” Dr Tejeiro also remarks the importance of accreditation, “the highest possible endorsement to our programme, and the evidence that we meet the most exigent standards in contents, methods and student experience.”
This programme of study offers an opportunity for students from other disciplines to convert their existing qualifications and learning to an award that meets the requirements for Graduate Basis of Chartership with the British Psychological Society (GBC).
GBC is essential for student’s development as psychologists. With GBC, students are eligible to be admitted to train in the domains of Clinical or Clinical Neuropsychology, Counselling, Educational Child Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Sports and Exercise Psychology or Occupational Psychology.
MSc Psychology (Conversion) is delivered within the institutional agreement between the University of Liverpool and Laureate Online Education.
