The Environmental Assessment and Management (EAM) Research Centre, based in the University’s School of Environmental Sciences, has been formally designated a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre on ‘Health in Impact Assessments’.
This is a prestigious appointment made in recognition of the impact achieved of the globally leading work conducted by the EAM Research Centre on health and impact assessments.
It follows years of collaborative work with the WHO and is associated with a four year future work programme.
Professor Thomas B Fischer will be Director of the Collaborating Centre with Dr Urmila Jha-Thakur and Dr Sam Hayes being Centre Co-Investigators.
