Staff and Postgraduate Research Students (PGRs) are invited to a Norton Priory Museum & Gardens Showcase Event.
Norton Priory is the most excavated monastic site in Europe. Its museum re-opened in August 2016 following a major HLF funded redevelopment project and displays thousands of objects from Tudor shoes to the incredible medieval statue of St Christopher.
The event will take place in the Elizabeth Gidney Room, 2nd floor Guild of Students Building, 2pm -4pm, Friday 07 July, Coffee & tea will be available from 3pm to allow for networking and informal discussions.
The museum will showcase their unique collection, which holds great potential, with a view to forming new research and educational collaborations with the University.
Could the opportunity to work with Norton Priory:
- Benefit your current research?
- Open new collaborative research opportunities?
- Inform / enrich your teaching?
- Enhance your public engagement?
A small amount of travel funding may be available to support site visits after the event, for colleagues interested in further exploring the opportunities offered by engaging with the museum.
