A free beginners introduction to coding is being run by HiPy on Friday, 23 March in Liverpool.
During the session you’ll learn how to use Python – a programming language that powers sites like Google and YouTube. You will also be taught how to use Arduino, which is an open source platform used to develop electronics projects. Using Arduino, you’ll build a robot and, if all goes well, you’ll then be able to race your robot.
Although you may not necessarily plan on becoming a programmer, as technology and data progresses, skills like coding are becomingly increasingly important to employers across all sectors.
Organised by HiPy – a group of researchers from the University – the event is partnered with LivIDEA. LivIDEA will deliver the Arduino content for the session.
If you attend, we’d love to see your photos and hear about how you get on. Share your content with us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram (@LivUni) using the hashtag #LivUni.
