A £12m investment to create new teaching facility, based in the heart of the campus, is ready to open its doors to students this autumn.
The new state of the art Teaching Hub, situated adjacent to the Guild of Students, represents an interactive learning environment containing new large lecture theatres and flexible teaching space, suitable for all subjects areas, all equipped with the very latest digital technology and audio visual formats.
The new lecture theatres and accompanying innovative learning spaces will be used for both timetabled activity and private study. Facilities include social study areas, new PC Suites , flexible teaching rooms , group study areas, three large lecture theatres and a connect collaborative Lecture Theatre.
Professor Gavin Brown, Pro Vice Chancellor for Education said: “I am really excited about our new Teaching Hub that will be ready for our new and returning students this autumn. The new lecture theatres, flexible teaching space and social areas will encourage interaction and dialogue and create more opportunities for engaging and participatory teaching and learning.“
