As a student in Liverpool there are loads of great discounts and schemes that will help you save money. We’ve rounded up some of the best discounts you should know about.
Get a discounted student Arriva bus pass
Guild President Rory Hughes has secured an exclusive ticket for students. Available at the Guild Shop, the pass costs £325 for the academic year, which is £55 cheaper than the standard Arriva pass.
£5 tickets for the theatre
With upcoming productions like The Lovely Bones and Still Alice, you might want to think about becoming a YEP Member. As a member, you’ll get £5 tickets at the Everyman theatre and the Playhouse theatre. You’ll also get free access to theatre workshops and pre-show events.

Tate Liverpool
We’ve partnered with Tate Liverpool which means that you can get free access to the Tate’s special exhibitions. Using your student card, you can also get 10% discount in Tate Liverpool’s café and shop.
Exhibitions that are currently on or taking bookings include Op Art in Focus, which looks at optical art from the 1960s, and the Fernand Léger exhibition that looks at more than 50 works of the famous French painter and filmmaker.

You’re invited to the Op Art Party, which is taking place on Friday, 28 September. There will be DJs, workshops, street food and psychedelic art on display. Free entry.
Independent Liverpool
If you buy an Independent Liverpool card, you’ll get discounts at lots of Liverpool’s independent cafes, restaurants and experiences – from Cuthberts to Camp and Furnace.
City Bikes discount
As a University of Liverpool student, you get 50% off an annual CityBike membership, which means you can get a year-long membership for £25. The discount code is CB/LIV/C03. You can find out more via the CityBike website.
UNiDAYS
Sign up to UNiDAYS and you’ll get discounts at big name brands like ASOS, Topshop, Missguided and Urban Outfitters. The discount site is free to join.
Use your student card to get money off coffee
Load money onto your University student card using our Loyalty Plus reward scheme and you’ll get a range of discounts, such as 10% off of all hot drinks.
NUS
You can buy your NUS extra card for one, two or three years and get discounts on a range of things, from the 25% discount at Odeon through to 30% discount at PizzaExpress.
