The University has risen 11 places in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019 from 42nd to 31st nationally.
Graduate prospects were judged to have improved with 85% of graduates in professional jobs or graduate-level study after completing their studies at Liverpool. This is higher than institutions such as Oxford, Durham, UCL and Leeds and is backed by the recent Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey which placedĀ Liverpool top in the Russell Group for UK full-time first degree graduates.
The Good University Guide rankings also cover student satisfaction with the quality of their teaching and academic feedback, course content and facilities; graduate job prospects; the likelihood of achieving a high-class degree; entry standards; dropout rates; research quality; student/staff ratio; and spending on library and other student services.
Liverpool features in 42 subject tables and the University has seen particular successes in Nursing (ranked 4th of 71 providers), Archaeology and Forensic Science (up 2 places to 6th of 58) and Architecture (up 7 places to 7th of 55 and raising to upper quartile performance).
The Guide includes profiles of all universities and the leading colleges of higher education, and includes a breakdown in performance at subject level.
