The University has two entries in the upcoming biennial digital preservation awards. The awards are the a prominent celebration of achievement for those people and organisations who have made significant and innovative contributions to maintaining a digital legacy.
The Ibadan/Liverpool Digital Curation Curriculum Review Project is a finalist for the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) Award for Teaching and Communications and is up against entries from University College Dublin and Yale.
Masters Student Philippa Turner has also been nominated in National Records of Scotland Award for Most Distinguished Student Work in Digital Preservation. Phillipa recently completed her Masters in Archives and Records Management at the University has been nominated for her essay on the ‘Record-making and record-keeping issues implicit in Wearables’.
The University of Liverpool joined the Digital Preservation Coalition earlier in the year. Colleagues from Liverpool who are interested in digital preservation and would like to vote for our finalists can register with their University email address and become a member of the DPC via the following link: https://www.dpconline.org/news/dpa2018-member-voting-open. Voting closes on 28th September.
