Event: How to pitch an idea to `The Conversation’

Staff and postgraduate students are invited to learn more about writing for the independent news website, ‘The Conversation,’ at an event led by their Cities Editor, Emily Brown.

`The Conversation’, which attracts a readership of more than 38 million, publishes news, opinion pieces and the latest research from the academic community.

Anyone, from a PhD student to a Professor, can write for `The Conversation’ which provides an innovative way to communicate with the public.

Articles published by Liverpool researchers for `The Conversation’ have also been republished in the Guardian, Independent, BBC News, Washington Post, CNN amongst others.

Emily will outline what `The Conversation’ is; the writing process and the benefits and impacts of writing for `The Conversation’.

There will be a Q&A session and attendees will have the opportunity to talk to her about specific ideas they have.

The presentation will take place on Wednesday, 13 March, 2 – 4pm in Room 202, Brodie Tower. Please reserve your place at this webpage
