Event: Free talks from Britain’s leading Victorianists

The British Association for Victorian Studies (BAVS) invites researchers and the general public to an afternoon of free talks at the University of Liverpool by four of Britain’s leading Victorianists.

These short, twenty-minute talks aim to showcase some of the most interesting current research and address vital issues in the field.

The speakers for BAVS 2019 are:

BAVS 2019 takes place on Wednesday, 8 May at The Gallery Foresight Centre, 2pm – 5pm. The event will be hosted by BAVS President and University of Liverpool Pro-Vice Chancellor for Cultural Engagement Professor Dinah Birch and Reader in History at Liverpool Dr Andrew Davies.

The talks will be followed by a roundtable discussion with the audience. Talks will be filmed and later made available online. Attendance is free, but, due to limited room capacity, booking is essential.
