University of Liverpool Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research & Impact, Professor Anthony Hollander is taking up a senior role with the N8 Research Partnership of Universities based in the North of England.
Professor Hollander is now Chair of the N8 Strategic Executive Group.
The group he heads up includes Professor Stephen Decent at Lancaster University; University of Manchester’s Professor Colette Fagan, Professor David Petley at the University of Sheffield, University of Leeds’ Professor Lisa Roberts, Professor Deborah F Smith at the University of York, Professor Brian Walker and Professor Claire Warwick at Durham University.
A professor of stem cell biology, Anthony Hollander provides strategic leadership for the development of research policy and for ensuring impact of the University’s research programmes in Liverpool and around the world.
The N8 Research Partnership is tasked with promoting deeper collaboration between universities, business & society, as well as establishing innovative research capabilities and programmes of national and international prominence, alongside driving economic growth by generating income, supporting jobs and new businesses.
It is led by eight Universities from across the North of England, including University of Liverpool, Durham University, Lancaster University, University of Manchester, University of Sheffield, University of Leeds, University of York and Newcastle University.
University of Liverpool Vice Chancellor, Professor Dame Janet Beer is on the N8 Board of Directors.
