Registration open for Advanced Antimicrobial Population PK/PD Modelling workshop

Registration is now open for an international workshop for Advanced Antimicrobial Population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) Modelling taking place in Liverpool during April this year.

PK refers to the movement of drugs through the body and PD refers to the body’s biological response to drugs. PK describes a drug’s exposure by characterizing absorption, distribution, bioavailability, metabolism, and excretion as a function of time.

The 2.5 day workshop will be held between the 14th and the 16th April at The Hope Street Hotel in Liverpool. This workshop is suitable for health care practitioners involved in complex drug dosing including clinical pharmacists, infectious diseases physicians, intensive care physicians, transplant physicians and clinical pharmacologists with a background in pharmacokinetic analysis. Also suitable for basic researchers including pharmacologists and translational scientists.

Advanced registration for the event is vital.

The workshop has been organised by researchers from the University of Liverpool, University of Queensland, Laboratory of Applied Pharmacokinetics and Bioinformatics, Los Angeles and the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nîmes, France.
