Liv to Give 2020 charities announced

Over the past few months, staff have been voting to choose the three Liv to Give charities for 2020. With a fantastic response, the University is pleased to announce the selected charities: Zoe’s Place, Claire House and The Whitechapel Centre.

The University will support these charities where we can through raising awareness of volunteering opportunities, supporting departments to fundraise and, where appropriate, through donations. Schools, Institutes and Departments are encouraged to hold at least one event each year to fundraise for one or more of our Liv to Give charities.

All charities featured on the nominees’ list will be added to the searchable list of volunteering opportunities and have the chance to be featured on our Liv to Give webpages.

Liv to Give since Autumn 2018

Since the Liv to Give framework was launched, almost £12,000 has been raised for our first set of Liv to Give charities.

So far, 1165 hours of volunteering activities have been carried out by 113 colleagues across many areas such as Crisis/Poverty, Culture, Education and Learning, Fundraising, Health, Wellbeing & Social Care, People and Communities.
