Local travel information and advice for students

For students living away from campus, travelling to and from university is something that will look and feel a little different this year.

To help reduce coronavirus infections and travel safely, the current advice is to walk and cycle where possible, especially if you live within a mile or two of campus.

Where this is not possible and you need to use public transport, buses and trains will be running to get you to and from university, although capacity may be reduced due to social distancing measures.

There are a number of recommendations to keep you and other passengers safe:

Merseytravel have developed these measures to help keep everyone safe. They have also introduced enhanced cleaning regimes that focus on touch points such as doors, handrails, seats and ticket machines.

Walking and cycling remain the safest way to travel to and from campus and around the city, but if you do need to use public transport, make sure to follow these recommendations and refer to the Merseytravel website for the latest information and updates.
