Academic Timetable for 2020/21 released

The preliminary version of the semester one academic timetable for 2020/21 is now available on the Timetables App and in the Timetable Portal for students with October start dates.

Students studying Health Sciences and Dentistry programmes will receive their timetable directly from their School.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, each of our programmes has been tailored to ensure its delivery is appropriate and safe, while giving you the opportunity to achieve your learning outcomes.

This term, we will need to adapt your timetable throughout the semester to reflect any new guidance we receive. Therefore, it is essential that you check your timetable in the Timetable App or on the Timetable Portal daily to ensure you are viewing the most up-to-date version, and you should not make irrevocable plans based on the timings shown in the preliminary timetableYour synchronous teaching (online and face-to-face) could change to take place at any point in the 9-6 working day any day of the week. There may also be some details which are added in coming days, such as allocations to groups.

Your semester two academic timetable will be released in the new year.

We understand that some students may have already been able to access the Timetabling Portal. Any information that has been viewed is subject to change as we finalise the timetables. If you have accessed the draft timetable then we would like to apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused you.

We make every effort to keep changes to the timetable to a minimum but, to reiterate, we are very likely to need to make changes during the semester, and so you must please check your timetable on a daily basis. If you raise a timetable query with your School Office, please note there may be a slight delay to receiving a response during this busy period.

During the Timetable release

We will post information to @LivUni Twitter when all timetables have been uploaded and are available to view.

Timetabling App

Please make sure you have downloaded the most up-to-date version of the Timetables App. You can find out more about the app, including how to download it, via the App Directory.

By the start of teaching the app and portal will also include Zoom/Teams links for all of the activities that are online, or on-campus. The links will only become visible on the app and portal a week at a time, one calendar week in advance of each week of teaching.

Look out for the icons that show whether sessions are on-campus or online. There will be links for both (the links for the on-campus sessions will be there in case the session can’t take place on-campus). We will try to give you as much notice as possible in these cases, but you should monitor your email and the virtual learning environments (Canvas and VITAL) to make sure you note any communications from your Department.
