Check your vaccinations are up-to-date

Doctor talking to student

Students are being encouraged to make sure their vaccinations are up-to-date for measles, mumps, rubella, meningitis and, if you are eligible, flu.

There are two recommended vaccinations for all University students:

  1. Meningococcal ACWY (Meningitis ACWY) immunisation
  2. Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) immunisation

As well as the Meningitis ACWY and MMR immunisations, Public Health England are urging all those who are eligible (see list below for eligibility) to also receive the free flu vaccine this winter.

Please make sure you familiarise yourself with the symptoms of meningitis, measles, mumps and rubella via the NHS website.

The flu vaccine is given to people who:
