Rocks
A story about friendship, resilience and life in east London, this film follows British-Nigerian teenager Rocks as she tries to take care of her younger brother Emmanuel. Rocks is streaming on Netflix right now.
The Boy that Harnessed the Wind
Based on a true story, The Boy that Harnessed the Wind tells the story of Malawian William Kamkwamba who builds a wind turbine to help his village during a famine. You can watch The Boy that Harnessed the Wind on Netflix.
I Am Not Your Negro
Streaming on BBC iPlayer right now (remember, you’ll need a BBC TV License to watch), I Am Not Your Negro uses the words of James Baldwin to explore the Black experience in America.

1619 podcast
Created by the New York Times, 1619 is an audio series that explores how slavery has transformed America. The podcast is on Spotify and can also be listened to on the New York Times’ website.

My Sister the Serial Killer audio book on BBC Sounds
Oyinkan Braithwaite’s darkly comic book My Sister the Serial Killer has been adapted for radio and can now be streamed on BBC Sounds. This darkly comic story follows nurse Korede as she tries to cope with the murders her sister Ayoola commits.
