New functionality in CoreHR – Employee Request

From 1 December 2020, new functionality will be available in CoreHR, called Employee Request. This is initially for employee-initiated Maternity related requests, with future plans to move all family friendly related requests to within this functionality.

Processes that can be completed from 1 December 2020 will be:

  • Notification of Maternity Leave (an individual will be able to upload their MATB 1 with their notification)
  • Change of Maternity Start Date
  • Keep in Touch Days – Paid
  • Keep in Touch Days – Time off in lieu
  • Return to Work from Maternity Leave
  • Change of Maternity Return Date

All these processes, once submitted, will automatically go to the Line Manager for approval, with a copy to the Head of Department and automatically onto payroll to process, with the exception of the Keep in Touch Days –time off in lieu, where the process will end with the Line Manager.

On the Employee Request web page, colleagues can access short ‘How to’ videos on CANVAS to learn how to find and complete an Employee Request together with instructions on how to approve an Employee Request.
