CharityWorks: The Graduate Scheme for the non-profit sector

Charityworks is the UK non-profit sector’s graduate programme. It was founded in 2009 with 3 graduate trainees, and is now a national programme recruiting hundreds of graduates each year for paid 12-month placements across the country.

As a Charityworks Graduate you will be placed in a full-time role in a partner organisation, ranging from national charities like AgeUK and NSPCC, to award-winning local housing associations like Poplar HARCA and the National Housing Federation.

You will also take part in an acclaimed leadership programme made up of self-directed learning and group work. This programme aims to give you an overview of some of the key issues affecting society and the non-profit sector.

Once a month you’ll meet with fellow trainees and leaders across the sector to explore and debate the key issues affecting your work and society as a whole. You’ll also produce your own research, helping to raise your profile and develop your understanding of your environment.

You will also have access to an external mentor to help you make the most of the placement.

The CharityWorks graduate programme is a great way to build experience of the non-profit sector, develop an understanding of the key issues, and gain access to a national network dedicated to making a difference. It will give you all the tools and experience you need to build a career in the UK non-profit sector.

Applications for the 2021 programme will close on Wednesday 24 February.
