Volunteering is a great way to enhance your CV, make friends, and boost your personal skills, whilst also giving something back to the wider community.
Liverpool Guild of Students have teamed up with organisations across Liverpool who are looking for students to get involved with Covid-safe volunteering opportunities, many of them offered remotely. Here are just a few to take part in this month:
Student mentor
IntoUniversity is an award-winning education charity that supports local learning centres where students from disadvantaged backgrounds are inspired to achieve. Volunteers are needed to provide the academic support, motivation and encouragement that will give young people a fair chance of realising their full potential.
Video Production Assistant
Wirral Unplugged is a grassroots, non-profit community group which aims to work with young people to make learning fun, promote imagination, creativity and screen free time, and to encourage wellbeing and reduce social isolation. They are looking for students to help organise, edit and produce the weekly videos, which are often craft tutorial videos and are aimed at engaging children aged 3-10.
Parliamentors programme
ParliaMentors is a UN award-winning leadership programme where teams of university students of different faiths and non-religious beliefs collaborate to create real social change while being mentored by MPs. You’ll receive expert-led training, support from local and national NGOs, and access to Westminster, to give you the networks and skills you need to effect real change in your community.
Silent Study Facilitator
Liverpool Guild of Students is creating an opportunity to study alongside your peers, if you’re struggling to self-motivate then this is your chance to meet with your fellow students and keep each other on track. The team are looking for volunteers to facilitate these sessions:
Campaign Support Volunteer
