Don’t forget to download and save your Vital materials

On 1 August, Canvas will become our new virtual learning environment (VLE), offering you a host of great new features, including a fantastic new mobile app and great video tools too.

Changing VLEs will mean saying ‘goodbye’ to VITAL on 31 July. There are a few things you will need to do before this date, but don’t panic – we have you covered!

What do I need to save?

The good news is that the majority of learning content associated with your VITAL modules – such as lecture notes and videos – will be automatically copied over into Canvas for you. However, there are a few things that can’t be copied over. So you will need to doublecheck if you want to download and save these items yourself:

Why should I save these materials?

These materials may be useful to look back on for revision purposes, when you are completing your next assignments or just so you have a personal copy of all your work and feedback to date.

Whatever your reasons, make sure you download and save all of the items you want to keep before 31 July – which is the last day you will be able to log onto VITAL.
