A new podcast has been launched by Electrical Engineering and Electronics PhD student, Ella Fox-Widdows.
Ella, who is studying Plasma Physics for Fusion Energy on the UK Fusion CDT programme, is using the podcast to shine a light on inspiring experts within the Fusion Energy community and showcase the diverse careers which are available in the field.
Ella graduated from the University of York with an undergraduate master’s degree in Mathematics and Physics, where during her final year she took a module in Fusion Energy. Now a PhD student at the University of Liverpool Ella specialises in the field which combines physics with green energy solutions.
Alongside the new podcast, Ella’s outreach work includes the Liverpool Doctoral College peer support network “Peers for PhDs” team which aims to connect PhD students from across the University of Liverpool and share advice about common worries.
