Pop-up vaccination centre on campus this week

Any adult in the UK can now access Covid-19 vaccination directly through the NHS. This includes all of our international students.

The vaccine is free of charge and is available to access at local sites run by GPs or community pharmacies, at larger vaccination centres and in some hospitals.

There are also some temporary ‘pop-up’ clinics available including at the Central Teaching Hub on campus (Central Campus Zone, Campus Map reference F6, building 221).

Location and opening times

The pop-up clinic is open on Monday, 20 September (10am – 4pm Pfizer only), Tuesday, 21 September (10am – 4pm Pfizer only) and Wednesday, 22 September (12 noon – 8pm Pfizer only). There is no need to book the pop-up vaccination clinics and you do not need to be registered with a GP to receive one.

If you miss these sessions you will be able to access an additional pop-up vaccination centre in the Stanley Theatre in Liverpool Guild of Students every fortnight from Wednesday, 6 October from 12noon to 4pm.

Details of all drop-in sessions (including for alternative vaccines such as Moderna) in Liverpool can be found on the CCG website.

Register with a GP

If you wish to receive the vaccine at local sites run by GPs or community pharmacies, or at one of the larger vaccination centres you will need to be registered with a GP. You can so this as soon as you arrive in the city, if you haven’t already. You can register with our local practice here. If you have previously received NHS treatment you can find your NHS number by using this tool.

More information about vaccinations which are on offer to our University community is available on our Campus Safety webpages.
