As part of our ongoing work against cyber threats, IT Services is extending Duo two-factor authentication (2FA) to Canvas on Tuesday, 7 December.
Duo 2FA is already enabled on several University services, including Office 365 and Apps Anywhere, to provide an additional layer of security beyond a username and password.
If you have already enrolled your device, you don’t need to take any further action. If you have not yet enrolled your mobile for Duo 2FA, simply follow these steps:
- Download the Duo Mobile app from the Apple App store or Google Play
- Visit the University Duo enrolment portal to enrol your mobile device
You get the smoothest experience if you download the Duo Mobile app, but you can opt to use SMS text messages to authenticate if you prefer.
