Semester Two Academic Timetables will be released at 9am on Wednesday, 15 December 2021 in the Timetables App and in the Timetable Portal.
Students studying on Dentistry programmes will receive their timetable directly from their School. Students studying Medicine and Veterinary Science should check the app, and continue to refer to communications from their School for further detail and information regarding placements.

Plans for teaching in Semester Two
The efforts of our whole University Community in supporting the University’s approach to managing Covid-19 risks on campus this semester, including the requirement for all staff and students to wear face coverings in University buildings and keep a recommended 1m social distance while on campus, have been successful and enabled teaching to continue as planned.
We will continue to monitor public health guidance and keep our approach to teaching and safety under regular review. The next review date is in January ahead of the beginning of Semester Two teaching, at which point we will communicate any expected changes to our approach. As things currently stand, and as a result of the high level of vaccination and Covid-19 testing take-up amongst university students, we are planning to offer more face-to-face teaching from next semester. You will find this reflected in your Semester Two Academic Timetable with an increase in the number of timetabled in-person teaching sessions across all subject areas.
The current guidance from the UK Government is very clear that face-to-face teaching and learning should continue and staff required to support the continuation of these activities can continue to attend work, in-person. The Covid-19 safety measures we have had in place on campus for some time now have proved effective in keeping our University community as safe as possible by preventing major outbreaks and allowing teaching and other activities to continue.
We know that face to face interaction supports your academic experience and benefits overall wellbeing by providing greater access to extracurricular, social and support services and activities. Recommendations from a recent Hybrid Teaching Survey, conducted by Liverpool Guild of Students, also supports this with the majority of students indicating that they wish to see an increase in face-to-face teaching on their course next semester.
The safety of our community remains of the utmost importance and we will continue to take the necessary steps to keep our campus safe for all who work and study here. All students will continue to be required to wear face coverings, unless exempt. We will also continue to offer and encourage regular testing via supply of lateral flow home-test kits, as well as PCR tests for those with symptoms.
