‘Safe Pod’ provides Liverpool researchers with remote access to data

The University of Liverpool is one of 25 Universities nationally to host an ESRC-funded SafePod.

A ‘SafePod’ is a pre-fabricated office space which provides accredited researchers with secure remote access to confidential data for approved research purposes. The service is open not only to University of Liverpool researchers, but to any researcher from the Liverpool City Region and beyond, regardless of whether they work in the academic, public or private sector, subject to them having first set up an approved project with the data supplier concerned.

Researchers using the SafePod will be able to better understand and address topics such as:

Within the University, users will be drawn from Geography, Planning, Sociology, Criminology, Economics, Management and Public Health, amongst others.
