Making an Impact 2022 development sessions open to external research community

The University of Liverpool’s annual programme of development opportunities for research staff, Making an Impact 2022, is open for bookings – with 12 of its sessions being open to external attendees from the research community.

Events take place between 9th May and 10th June 2022.

This comprehensive programme of events led by The Academy aims to provide rich, varied and high-quality development opportunities for researchers, academics and research-related professional services staff at all stages of their career with opportunities offered across all Faculties.

Making an Impact 2022 will be delivered mainly online however The Academy are pleased to offer a number of sessions using a Hy-Flex approach, where participants will have the option to attend in-person or online.

Dr James Howard, Director of The Academy, said: I’m very pleased to announce the launch of the Making an Impact 2022. This annual series of high quality development opportunities designed to enhance research impact, has grown to be a key event in the University’s calendar.  The programme evolves each year and consists of a diverse range of sessions addressing contemporary topics within the research and impact landscape. A core strand of events is again open to external partners this year, further increasing the reach of the series and stimulating creativity through collaboration. 

“A highlight of this year’s programme are the five Keynote sessions, in which we welcome local and national experts to discuss a range of topics, including the importance of building a culture of innovation to advance the NHS, tackle climate change and to build a sustainable and resilient future.”
